Italy - Thank you for the experience!

The military has really given us a wonderful chance to travel, and for the price of a plane ticket, Madison has a week full of good memories ( and crazy memories with her dad). We wish more than anything, without rubbing it in, that we could take our family with us on these trips. Maybe someday! Madison and Rhett took over 500 pictures, here are just a few. Below: view of Florence. Madison & Rhett ran every morning, and did some "running" when they were late to the train. Madison bumped over a scooter, and was chewed out in Italian by it's owner. It all made her cry! Above - The Trevi fountain in Rome. Throw in three coins & you'll return~

Rock/Paper scissors translates in all languages. Rhett & Madison also found a ward in Rome - only four small wards in that huge city, and four sets of missionaries at church.

Lots of great food & gelato in Italy~

Rhett secretly wishes he could be a gladiator for the day! We'll make a slide show with Madison's photos. She has some really artistic ones.

What fun! Madison and Rhett truly had the experience of a lifetime, I'm sure. They look happy. The military demands a lot from families, but there are also some great "bennies," obviously. Can't wait to see more!

That was a wonderful experience for you two! I loved beauty in the southern part of Italy when I was there in the sixties. Rome is very touristy and interesting. It will be fun to hear/see more. Dad

Wow, very very cool. I would love to hear about the whole experience from Madison. That is so awesome that she can say she jogged in Italy. Mostly it's just way cool that she can say she went there. Good for her and Rhett.
I agree with Mom about the demands on the military families but it's nice to have some benefits in there too.
Keep us updated about Rome!!!

Wow! That picture of Madison in front of the Trevi fountain is my favorite. What a cool experience. Florence look beautiful and very croweded. Amazing that there can be so many old buildings crammed together.

That trip to Italy looks like it was so much fun!! Lucky Madison to go somewhere so great with her Dad. I think that is so wonderful. They will have those memories forever.

Garrett looks great! He is so handsome in his blue shirt and tie. That's cool that they have Mormon Prom out there. You live in a great place!

Susan
