We have a daughter going into high school who attended the eighth grade dance. The highlight of my evening was watching Madison let Livi try on her dresses and Livi taking a picture of each one and texting them to her friend Elise, who gave her opinion on each dress. The dance was interesting because every one of those little eighth graders came with a "date", and the few who didn't didn't get to dance. The school dances are really different here from the church dances, where everyone changes partners and it's a little less formal!

Becca girl dressed up for Colonial Days at school in a green calico made by mom. I called my mom for help during the project, and was very grateful for her help. Becca bustled around in her dress, and I now understand perfectly the word "bustle" and why it was created!
Garrett was asked to three proms this year, and didn't have to lift a finger to ask anyone! Lucky guy! For two of the girls it was their first date, and Garrett made their dates happy by being such a gentleman. One of the mom's e-mailed me and said that her daughter had been treated very badly by a boy on a date, and Garrett redeemed her faith in men! I am proud of him. He was given an award this past week by the Daughters of the American Revolution and was recognized at an ROTC awards ceremony too. He's a great kid! Six families from our ward are now working on "THE BIG ONE" - we all chipped in and rented the YMCA for this Saturday.

Wow! What great kids you have. EVERY single one of them. I think it would be fun to come spend just a whole day at your house watching all you have to do. Love Becca's dress. You did awesome! Cute girl!
