Washington DC with Steve & Jen

On Tuesday, Steve & Jen's family and our family went to Washington D.C. We saw the Arlington Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial, the ww2 Memorial, FDR Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial. Becca had a tough time walking and all of the little ones wanted to go to the zoo. So the next day we said that if they went to the Fredericksburg Battlefield, they would go to Carl's ice cream and the park...that just about did it. Me, Emmy, and Garrett also went to the Washington D.C. temple and we did baptisms for the dead! Here are some pictures that I took the whole time with my mom's new "professional" camera.

Here are all of the graves at the Arlington Cemetary.

This is the World War 2 Memorial and we finally got to dip our feet in the fountain!

Here is the everlasting flame that was lit when J.F.K was assassinated.

Emmy is holding up the Washington Monument...what a strong girl!

Steve and Eli are having a great time at the Potomac River in the shade.

Those are great places to visit. It was so nice the Paul and Steve's families could see the culture that is all around you. It's springtime now and new hope is in the air for us all. I marveled at the strengh Emmy has to hold up the Washington monument. I still have fond memories of our visit to the capitol, the Supreme Court, and the multiple museums. We look forward to seeing all of you out west sometime this year.

Much love,

Dad/Papa

A great camera really does make all the difference. It is an investment that I have never regretted (and mine is the least expensive of the Nikon 35mm family). Loved the pictures :)

Carl's is great!
